Spectator safety is paramount and, with safety rules set in place to protect not only spectators but competitors and officials, finding your own viewing spots within the forest is no longer possible or permitted.
The Grampian Forest Rally route has been planned to include areas specifically chosen for good, safe viewing. These are at two locations, Fetteresso and Durris, and each will allow two viewings of the rally competitors at speed. Access to these locations are shown on the accompanying map- each features a drive along forest roads, with roadside parking near the spectator area. A charge will be collected with all proceeds to charity. Early arrival will ensure a shorter walk to the viewing points.
Park only in the designated locations as directed. Do not obstruct access for emergency vehicles or for others.
The spectator areas will have a hot food van and toilet facilities.
Thanks to the Forestry Commission these areas have been provided and maintained to allow a great viewing experience.
